Hesperia High School is so excited to welcome Chris Smith home as our Head Baseball Coach! Coach Smith is a proud product of the Hesperia community, having attended Cottonwood, Hesperia Junior High, and graduating from Hesperia High School in 1999. His baseball journey began right here in Hesperia where he grew up playing for Hesperia National Little League, and now he returns home to lead the Scorpions. Coach Smith went on to have an outstanding baseball career that included playing at UC Riverside, being selected in the 4th round of the MLB draft by the Boston Red Sox, and enjoying a professional baseball career from 2002-2017. He continued his professional baseball journey as a coach from 2018-2023, gaining valuable experience that he now brings back to the Hesperia High School baseball program. We are excited to welcome a former Scorpion home to invest in our student-athletes, build upon the tradition of Hesperia Baseball, and lead the next generation of Scorpions! Welcome Home Coach Smith!

HHS is hosting our student Blood Drive this Friday, 9/11. Sign ups for the Blood Drive are still going on until Wednesday this week! Stop by the stage in the lower quad at lunch for details! ❤️ Students must use the Google form to sign up in order to donate. Students ages 15 and 16 must have a signed permission slip turned in. #BeAHero #DonateBlood #ScorpionsStrivingForExcellence

THIS FRIDAY we have a FREE Event exclusively for HHS Freshman students. Our "Fresh Friday Tailgate" is in the Quad from 4:30pm-6:30pm.
We have free food, drinks, music, games, facepaint for you to get HYPED for our first home Friday Night Football Game.  We'll also have a Coffee Truck with drinks for sale (cash, card, or tap accepted)
**You can also get into the game for FREE if you are dressed in Scorpion Squad gear.  Our theme for Scorpion Squad is "Wild'n out for the win"- come in Animal Print or Camo to get into the game for free after the tailgate party!
(Football game is $10 if you are not in Scorpion Squad theme)
The Football Game starts at 7:00pm.

Hesperia High School will be conducting a Code Red Drill on September 2nd, 2026. We encourage you to talk with your student about the importance of being prepared for these situations. Please be aware that there will also be an increased police presence on campus during this time. THIS IS ONLY A DRILL. #scorpion family #safeschools

Hesperia High would like to introduce Bobby Tossetti as our 2026-2027 Girls Basketball Head Coach! Bobby is coming back to coaching with a ton of experience - He has 11 years coaching at the collegiate level, where he secured 4 championships in 6 years. Bobby also previously was our HHS head Boys Basketball Coach, where he took our team to 4 straight MRL Championships. We are excited to welcome him back to our coaching staff! #ScorpionsStrivingForExcellence

Today, we were able to recognize 275 students that earned a 4.0GPA or higher second semester last school year at Hesperia High School. We are so proud of all these Scorpions, and hope they enjoyed their free In N Out during lunch! #ScorpionsStrivingForExcellence

IT'S HOMECOMING TIME! 🎉 Your 2026 Homecoming Dance "A Night in the Lights" will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 6-10pm. Tickets go on sale MONDAY 8/17 in the student store for $35.00 with an Activities Card and $45.00 without. Tickets are $50.00 at the door, so buy yours ahead of time and don't miss out on the best party of the month! 🦂
