Fall Symptom Reminder Banner

Hello HUSD parents and guardians! Fall winds are upon us and with the weather changes come sneezing and runny noses. Just a reminder that the following are all symptoms of Covid-19:

  • Congestion and runny nose

  • Fatigue

  • New onset of severe headache

  • Shortness of breath

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Sore throat

  • Diarrhea, vomiting, nausea

If your student exhibits any of these symptoms at school, they will be evaluated by the school nurse and parent pick-up will be requested. Students will then be required to quarantine/isolate according to the public health department guidelines. See the HUSD Pandemic Addendum for more information regarding quarantine and isolation. (Pandemic Addendum 21-22)

Please keep your student home if they have any of the symptoms listed above.

If your student suffers from allergies or any conditions that may mimic Covid-19 symptoms, you may obtain written documentation of the allergy diagnosis from your student’s physician. This will assist your child’s school with differentiating between COVID symptoms and a diagnosed health condition.
